Seed Codes combines nature and technology with the use
of QR codes and 360 degree photography. When a purchase
is made through our site, tree seeds are given a code
similar to a UPC. The seeds will be planted and their
coded numbers can then be displayed on a virtual map through
a GPS heading plus you can see what they look like on
the ground with our 360 photos.
QR codes are also used throughout this site to make it
more fun and provide messages that can be read through
your mobile phone.

Then and Now
The tradition of branding trees dates back to the famous
North American explorers Lewis and Clark. On their explorations
they branded trees with a hot iron and used the marks
to forge a path for mapping the expedition across America.
In an effort to regrow some of the world's lost forests
and add to the tradition of branding nature, Seed Codes
will map and display 360 degree photographic images of
their tree seed planting project online.
